The God Again

I

And then
the god said:
you don’nt understand
you don’t
have the slightest idea.

And I said:
how could I know
if there is no god?

“Father
you’ve left me alone
I was too young
I’m not guilty
of your death -

I didn’t know
about so many sorrows
and penances - and about
those desert lands
the hungry people
and the dry hearts.

And all the gods
have died
long time ago”.

And the god said:
of course I’m not alive, but
they believe me -
and so I’m a god.

- It’s impossible
to discuss with you, because
you are deaf to all  sounds,
to talk about life
or to imagine you are  alive, you
must prove you are dead, -

you’ve died, because
we don’t believe
in living gods”.

And he said:
ok, let’s prove
I’m dead:  believe in me -

and I’ll reborn
to tantalize you
and invade your nightmares
like your dead father -

and you’ll not be afraid
of  him in your dreams and future life -
and you will talk to him
and will say, father, embrace me,
I’ll stay here
waiting for you:

I’m not afraid
if you are or  not any god, just
the dead father
of a very very young boy.
